Course Overview and Who Should Attend
This course is based on BS 5839 – Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems for Buildings.
Part 1 :2017 – Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in non- domestic premises
Part 6:2019- Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems in a domestic premise.
Aimed at employed and self employed electricians, building services and facilities electricians actively involved in electrical installations, who wish to gain a comprehensive knowledge of Fire Alarm systems.
Qualified or time served electricians with experience in installation and or engineering / building / facilities services with up to date wiring regulations.

There is a multiple choice test- After you have passed, you will receive a DETA Certificate of attendance. Outlining the main points of the course.
There is no other formal examination.
Delegates who are required to maintain a CPD record, will be able to log the 8 hours attendance into their records.
